Kerv has been placed 20th in the 2024 UK Best Workplaces for Women

We’re proud to announce that Kerv has been placed 20th in the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women in the ‘large’ company category. With only six technology companies ahead of us in this list, we’re effectively the seventh placed large tech company!

The Best Workplaces for Women list recognises companies in the UK that are working to ensure a reasonable balance of women and men across the organisation; removing barriers to women’s career advancement; and creating workplaces where all employees, regardless of gender, can flourish.

Our inclusion on this list acknowledges our commitment to create consistently and overwhelmingly positive employee experience, to foster a culture that drives better customer experience, improves lives, and works for a better society. Over the past year our Women@Kerv initiative has gained momentum across the Kerv global community. This is not only aimed at ensuring we have an equitable and fair workplace for everyone at Kerv; it also provides external support to bring better opportunities to underrepresented groups.

To compile the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women List, Great Place To Work analysed the anonymous responses of females in our workplace and considered their daily experiences of innovation, the company’s values, and the effectiveness of their leaders, to ensure a consistent experience. They then used these data insights to benchmark Kerv’s employee value proposition against the culture our employees actually experience. Only the businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces status.

From our anonymous employee feedback, we can see that overall, our female employees highly commend the management as ‘honest and ethical in its business practices’, with a score of 96%.

One employee referenced in their feedback “The management really care about the employees… They have also done a lot of Women in IT events to encourage women back to work after maternity (with support) and given training and help progress into jobs that in the past have been more male dominated.”

“I’m extremely proud of Kerv’s achievements in making the UK Best Workplaces list for Women.

This win further solidifies that we are doing the right thing in our Women@Kerv network group, where our mission is to create a community for networking and connection across Kerv; to embed values and behaviours; raise the visibility of women, providing opportunities for women to develop, and reach out to women in the external community to connect.”

Chloe Black, head of people development, kerv

Helen Lancaster, CMO at Kerv added, “Our ambition at Kerv is to make this the best place our people have ever worked – and that ambition is authentic and from the top!  We are a values-driven organisation and believe that employee experience is at the heart of everything we do.  Come and join us 😊.”

“Workplaces are only great if they’re great for all employees. For seven years, the UK’s Best Workplaces for Women List has been paving the way by tackling discrimination, removing barriers to women’s advancement in their careers, and challenging taboos around subjects like the menopause, and endometriosis.

Importantly, each of the companies on the list have been commended by their own female employees through their anonymous feedback that told us their workplace has gone above and beyond to ensure that women employees are treated fairly in terms of recognition, training, and promotion opportunities.

Congratulations to Kerv for making this prestigious list!”

Benedict Gautrey, Managing Director, Great Place To Work UK
