The Role

Your part with us

  • Assisting the Billing Manager on all group billing
  • A key contributor in the migration and establishment of the new billing platform and its on-going success
  • Working in a fast-moving environment for a PE backed company with a philosophy of building exceptional excellent customer and employee experience
  • Working simultaneously on a number of legal entities and ensuring that each are accurate
  • A key and visible team member

  • A numerate person with strong attention to detail, whilst still being able to see the big picture and sense check outputs against a wider business knowledge
  • Skills and Aptitudes – good Excel skills (to intermediate level at least), ability to multi-task, ability to work to and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation (essential). Good telephone manner (essential)
  • Job knowledge – some standard knowledge of telecommunications provider product and billing is preferred but not essential
  • Experience – 1+ years experience in a Data Entry/Billing/Order Processing/Finance Administration role

Job Accountabilities

Billing Cycles

  • To work on defined monthly billing cycles in accordance with an agreed timetable
  • To assist in ensuring that all billing cycles go out in accordance with the above agreed dates
  • To run all Credit Notes having obtained the appropriate management sign off
  • Raise invoices during billing in multiple currencies
  • To ensure that each invoice line is coded in an appropriate manner that is consistent with the Product Hierarchy and Chart of Accounts
  • To ensure that billing runs are at agreed accuracy levels e.g. 98% accuracy
  • Reconciling third-party invoices for onward invoicing

Other

  • To interface with Credit Control and the business on any billing queries
  • To own the correct set up of new client and matter tariff’s in line with the group policy
  • To liaise with sales personnel to ensure commercial contracts are properly processed into billing
  • Carry out tariff data cleansing activities, managing global and single updates to rates structures and customer setups
  • Deal with any problems or queries that may arise in the billing/invoicing process
  • To identify trends of queries coming into the billing mailbox, working closely with the billing Improvement Supervisor to fix root cause issues
  • Liaise directly with customers to ensure a smooth and orderly process
  • Work closely with provisioning and Operations to ensure that new business goes live and that ceases are processed  accurately and on a timely basis
  • Producing ad-hoc invoices/credit notes as and when required

  • To identify any system or process gaps and make positive contributions to improve the overall efficiency of billing
